Dutchess Arts Camp Friday Sharings, 3:00pm each week July through August 6. A chance to view and enjoy original and imaginative artwork and theater presentations created by campers in three locations: Five Fridays at the Poughkeepsie Day School throughout July and on August 6; in Millbrook at the Dutchess Day School – 3 Fridays through July 23; and in Red Hook on 2 Fridays – July 30 and August 6.  Family and friends are welcome – Free Admission. Summer Art Intensive at Marist College holds FREE College Rep visits, 4:00-7:00pm. The pre-college portfolio development program is designed for art students, ages 14-19 interested in careers in the visual arts. Schedule includes: Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) –Tues. July 20; New Hampshire Institute of Art-Thursday, July 22;  Corcoran School of Art- Thursday, July 29; Columbus College of Art & Design- Wed. Project ABLE (jobs skills training), PASWORD & Project AWARE ( Girls Empowerment Alumnae) Programs – Art Exhibit & Performances Culmination event: Wednesday, August 11, 6:00pm at Mill Street Loft’s Gallery 45. Features youth from Beacon and Poughkeepsie middle and high schools interpreting summer experiences including Earth Arts, Fine Arts, Music Arts, Fabric Arts., Poetry and Music.  FREE admission – public welcome. Tuesday, September 14 – Fall Semester begins at the Art Institute of Mill Street Loft (ages 14-19). RED is GREEN – Fall Friend Raiser at Vassar Alumnae House, Thursday, October 21, 5:30pm. Event will honor arts supporters and proceeds will go to the scholarship funds to provide tuition assistance for deserving area art students.  For information and reservations call, 845.471.7477.

Regional Portfolio Day, Thursday, November 4, 4:00-8:00pm at the Wallace Visitor’s Center, FDR Historic Site in Hyde Park.
