Mill Street Loft offers numerous job opportunities throughout the year. Volunteers, interns, summer jobs for students, teachers, teaching assistants, and other opportunities are available.
Volunteers
Depending on your schedule and interests, Mill Street Loft has a variety of volunteer needs. You can assist with our numerous gallery openings and professional exhibits, assist in our office, work in the studio, or help in one of our outreach programs. Interns
Mill Street Loft accepts a limited number of interns and student teachers in our various programs. Currently, opportunities exist in The Art Institute (contact the director, Todd Poteet), or in our outreach programs (contact the director, Joan Henry).
Counselors in Training
During the summer, Dutchess Arts Camp in Poughkeepsie, Millbrook, Beacon, and Red Hook accepts applications for CIT’s. To qualify, applicants must be at least 15 years of age and have reliable transportation to and from the facilities.
Teaching Assistants
The Art Institute of Mill Street Loft and Dutchess Arts Camp both accept applications for teaching assistants for our summer sessions. Teaching assistants must have completed a minimum of one year of college to qualify.
Artist / Educators
Mill Street Loft offers a wide variety of courses in Beacon, Poughkeepsie, Millbrook, and Red Hook. We are always looking for talented artist/educators with a passion for the arts.
