PASWORD & Project AWARE
PASWORD and Project AWARE are tuition-free programs for girls living in the urban areas of Poughkeepsie and Beacon. For over 25 years, Mill Street Loft has been offering teenage girls arts-based programming in which they meet and work with professional teaching artists in a variety of disciplines while developing the empowerment, self-esteem and conflict resolution skills that will help them succeed in their future. These programs use the arts to address gender specific issues and are 100% dependent on grants, fundraising, and donations.
