PASWORD (Program for Adolescent Student Women Of Real Direction) and Project AWARE (Adolescent Women Are Realizing Empowerment) are gender specific programs for girls ages 11-18 in the Cities of Poughkeepsie and Beacon. These programs use the visual, performing, media and literary arts to support young women on their journey toward being empowered, self-confident and creative leaders in their families, communities and in the world. By kindling their inner fires and nourishing their expressive selves, our Girls Empowerment programs help young women navigate the challenges of adolescence and discover their dreams, goals and ambitions for the future.
