Introduction to Animation


Ages 11-14. Learn the rules of multi-media animation, and then learn to break them! This 6-week course covers stop-motion and motion-capture digital cel animation. It will look at the art of animation from its inception to its current forms. Students will combine modes of animation to create original videos and emerge with a variety of animated works.

Product Description

Sarah Timberlake Taylor graduated from Bard College where she majored in Film Production. She served as a line producer and assistant editor on the award-winning film Persistence of Vision by documentarian Kevin Shreck, Sarah recently was the production manager for Verna Gillis’s one-woman-show Tales from Geriassic Park: On the Verge of Extinction during its runs at Fringe NYC and the United Solo Theater Festival. Sarah also works at TMI Project, a non-profit organization offering transformative memoir workshops that culminate in empowering performances, bringing her production skills and expertise to these events and performances. Sarah has taught videography, animation and experimental films at Spark for over three years.
