Traditional Photography


This course is designed as a mentor course in which a lesson plan and class goal will be set individually for each student. The traditional art of black and white film processing and darkroom print-making is explored while students develop their own creative expressions through film. Personal voice is emphasized. 35mm cameras and materials are provided. At Oakwood Friends School, Spackenkill Road, Poughkeepsie. Materials and darkroom fees included.

Michael Gallo Farrell a versatile freelance photographer and exhibitor, is Associate Director of the Art Institute of Mill Street Loft, and sponsor of the National Art Honors Society Chapter 2242. He holds a BS in history and social studies education from SUNY Brockport, and teaches photography at the Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie.
