Jennifer Axinn-Weiss has training in expressive arts through UC Berkeley, Metamorphose Institute and the Jung Foundation in NYC.  She brings arts processes to Vassar Brothers Pediatrics through Mill Street Loft’s Arts For Healing program and has a private practice in expressive arts and Hypnotherapy in Rhinebeck and Hyde Park.


Alexandra Baer designs and builds commercial and private sculpture. She works in painting, drawing, stonework, & metalwork, among other media; holds a BFA from Boston University School of Fine Arts; did stone carving in Pietrasanta, Italy; and studied art history at Harvard.

Garin Baker works include complex compositions to simple figure studies in painterly realism, combined with an expressive nature that shows a passionate engagement reminiscent of the Hudson River School. To his credits are numerous gallery exhibitions and awards. Completed projects include murals in L.A., Chicago, D.C. and NY. He’s been a featured in American Artist & Plein Air Magazines and other publications. In addition, Garin runs a public art mural company called Carriage House Art Studios.

Karla (Kartoon) Baumgardner is a regular teaching artist at the Dutchess Arts Camp. She has won many awards, including an Emmy for “Arthur,” is a Foley Artist at the National Film Board of Canada, and studied pantomime and mime with Ettienne DeCroux, a student of the famed Marcelle Marceau. Karla continues to develop new characters and routines, and to train youngsters to perform as her assistants.

Amanda Buhler works in many mediums including drawing, painting, printmaking, metals, photography, computer graphics and mosaics. She is a NYS certified, pre K-12 art educator on the faculty at the Titusville Intermediate School and holds a Masters Degree in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz.

Elizabeth M. Dama is a core instructor in the Junior Art Institute of Mill Street Loft and holds a BFA and MFA from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Her work is in collections across the USA and Canada. Her home and Studio are in the Hudson Valley. “To develop, organize and record feelings is a creative process I work towards every day”.

Carol DiPalo has taught art for more than 20 years in Dutchess County elementary and middle schools and currently teaches at Overlook Primary School.  She mentors art education students in the Arlington and Poughkeepsie School Districts, and during the summers she teaches multi-media arts at Dutchess Arts Camp.

Christina DiMarco has been marbling and bookbinding since the mid 80’s and loves to share this art form. Her works can be viewed in member shows at Mill Street Loft, Poughkeepsie, and Garrison Art Center, Garrison, NY. Her work is also at the Bodhi Tree Gallery, in Sharon, CT.
Amanda Epstein is a graduate of Parsons School of Design, and has attended the National Academy of Design, School of Visual Arts and Art Students League, New York. She is an award winning member of The Salmagundi Club and a signature member of the Northeast Watercolor Society. Her watercolors are part of numerous private and corporate collections. Amanda exhibits in and around the New York City area including the Hudson Valley where she lives.

Michael Gallo Farrell is Associate Director of the Art Institute of the Mill Street Loft, core photography instructor and sponsor of the National Art Honors Society Chapter 2242 locally. He holds a B.S. in history and social studies education from SUNY Brockport and teaches photography at the Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie. Michael is a versatile freelance photographer and continues to exhibit his work.

Kristin Flynn has designed apparel and knitwear for Liz Claiborne, Ellen Tracy and Nike. She taught fashion design and drawing at Marist College and has been a design critic at Otis Parsons in Los Angeles. Currently she teaches fashion design at SUNY Ulster. She is a graduate of Parsons School of Design.

Keith Gunderson has studied with such notable artists as Frank Mason, David Leffel, & Harvey Dinnerstein at the Art Students League of NY and teaches throughout the east coast. His still life paintings are based on a volumetric concept of form, as exemplified by the 19th century French proponents of the genre.

Joan Henry
Tsalagi/Nde’/Arawaka Composer/Performer & Educator
(“JAH-LAH-GHEE / IN-DAY/AH-RAH-WAH-KAH”) is a Native American singer/composer, storyteller, dancer, recording and visual artist & educator. Dutchess Arts Campers will remember her as the fabled teller of Coyote’s adventures and mishaps! She teaches traditional native arts, music, performance and life skills at a variety of levels for all ages and abilities, and is the Artistic Director for Mill Street Loft’s outreach programs.

Dandelyon Holmes holds a BS in Visual Arts Education with a concentration in painting from the SUNY New Paltz. Her commercial work of pet portraits reflects the personable character and uniqueness of each animal.

Andrew Lattimore graduated from the National Academy School of Fine Arts, NY and studied in Florence at Academia di Belle Arti and Studio di Simi and loves to teach. His artwork is exhibited and is in numerous collections all over the world. Andrew’s portrait commission of Governor Pataki was featured in the Feb 09 issue of American Artist.
