The Program
This art immersion program is designed for motivated, artistically and career-minded teens ages 14 – 19 to help develop their ideas and build skills in the visual arts. We believe that every student should be given a firm foundation to build upon. Therefore, we explore the depth of shape, color, line, texture, space and movement as well as the importance of conceptualism to help students develop scholarship-level portfolios.

The Summer Art Intensive of the Art Institute is located in the Fine Arts Studios, and Photo Lab at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie on New Hackensack Rd. There are beautifully landscaped areas, historic buildings and the Lehman Loeb Museum that serve as inspiration. The Summer Intensive utilizes many studios including sculpture, a fully equipped darkroom, professional exhibit areas, dorms, and the expansive grounds and facilities.
